Exhibits
and Displays for Interpretation
|
Expand your interpretation capabilities
with our new exhibit technology that combines
high resolution digital terrain models with high
end technology. The technology is designed for
parks, museums, and science centers to aid in
interpreation of complex geologic and ecologic
information and concepts and is scaleable to any
size.

Demo exhibits were premiered at the
National Association of Interpretation Conference in
November 2006 and the Association for Partners for Public
Lands Conference in March 2007. The project and demo
exhibit are a collaboration between Wilco of Tempe,
AZ and Four Chambers Studio, Oakland, CA.
The demo exhibits give brief examples of different types
of interactivity which include:
- the ability to virtual draw on a physical terrain
model
- the ability to display any type of digital map on
your terrain model
- interactive flooding and elevation visualization
- interactive geologic mapping and visualization
- virtual touring of the landscape with 360 degree
photographs
- scenario visulazation animations playable on the
surface of the 3D terrain model

The following clips each present a different feature
of the demo exhibit. The clips are compressed for web
viewing and are designed to give a glimpse of the interactive
features of the exhibit.
Special Note: The video clips all display a color cycling
phenomenon that is a result of video syncing between
our video cameras and the type of projectors used at
the conference. This color cycling is only visible through
a video camera system. All imagery appears static and
very bright as you stand in front of the models.

Exhibits and Displays for our
Virtual Tour Products
In June 2004, an large screen tour exhibit and display
was installed at the Mesa Verde National Park Farview
Visitor Center. The large screen provided a unique way
for visitors to explore difficult to reach areas of
the park using our 360 Degrees of Mesa Verde National
Park Virtual Tour Program. It was a prototype, a test,
a trial run for a new type of exhibit, and it passed
with flying colors!
Large plasma screen displays and exhibits have since
been installed at a number of parks throughout the United
States. Plasma screen displays and exhibits are currently
installed at the following locations...
