The panoramic shown below is
one of the highest resolution 360 panoramas taken from
an aerial perspective using KAP/BAP systems. A series
of over 30 individual photographs were taken from a
height of about 75-100 ft using a 6' helium balloon
to lift the camera. The photographs were then stitched
together to form a complete 360 panorama.
This location in particular is unique as a challenge
for any type of aerial photography due to proximity
to sensitive artifacts and also the presence of visitors
to the park. Using our system, we were able to photograph
the site silently, allow visitor traffic to continue
normally, and photograph both below and above the horizon
line in all directions.
