Q. I get an error when the program loads. What is
wrong?
Answer: Most likely, you are missing the Free QuickTime™
Plug-in or you have an old version of the free program. QuickTime™
is a free program that allows you to explore the sites with
your own virtual camera and it is relatively easy to install.
The FREE software is included on your CDROM. To install it
follow the steps below. If this does not correct the problem,
then please email us at support@fourchambers.org.
1. Exit the 360 Degrees program.
Double-click on "My Computer"
3. Right-click on the CD-ROM icon titled "360 Degrees"
and select "Explore"
4. Locate and open the folder called InstallQuicktime
5. Double-click on the installer called QuickTimeInstaller.exe
6. Follow the steps from there...there is no registration
or serial number required...you can bypass that step without
entering info.
7. When finished, restart the 360 program (easiest is to
reinsert the CDROM into the drive and wait a few seconds).
Q: The program doesn't fit on the screen.
What is wrong?
Answer: This program requires a minimum screen
resolution of 1024x768 (XGA Resolution). If the program does
not display properly, you may need to change your display
or monitor settings in the "Control Panels" on your
computer.
Q: It takes a long time for each page
to show up. What is wrong?
Answer: The program is optimized to run the
best on a Pentium IV (or equivalent) or G4 processor with
at least 256 MB of RAM. If you have an older computer, or
less than 256 MB of RAM, the program may run more slowly.
To increase the speed of the program, you may choose to do
any of the following:
1. Copy the contents of the CDROM to your hard drive and
then
start the program from there.
2. Quit the program and exit any other programs that are
currently
running. Then restart the program.
Q: I get a memory error and/or I see
a strange icon in the camera view window. What is wrong?
Answer: Displaying the 360 degree views uses
a large amount of memory (RAM) on your computer. Depending
on your system and configuration, you may experience an error
due to a lack of available memory needed to display the views
in the camera window. To fix this problem, you can simply
quit and restart the program.
Q: What is QuickTime™ and how
do I install it?
Answer: QuickTime™ is a free program
that allows you to explore the sites with your own virtual
camera. To install the version of QuickTime™ needed,
you’ll need to exit this program and double-click on
the QuickTimeInstaller included on the CDROM. For more information

Q. The camera doesn't autopan, pan, or zoom when
I click the link. What is wrong?
Answer: We apologize on behalf of Apple
for this problem. This problem is a result of a bug in the
recent release of Quicktime 7, released in early fall 2005.
Apple released a new update and bugfix in version 7.0.4 in
mid-January. This fixes the issue causing problems with our
program. The solution is simple and is outlined below.
STEP #1: Download Quicktime version 7.0.4 or higher.
Here's how to download the latest Quicktime (version 7.0.4
or higher).
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/
If you are unable to download the latest version, send us
your address and we'll be happy to send you a copy of the
standalone installer on a disk.
STEP #2: Install the latest version.
Double-click on the installer application and follow the steps
outlined during the installation process...there is no registration
or serial number required...you can bypass that step without
entering info. When finished, restart the 360 program (easiest
is to reinsert the CDROM into the drive and wait a few seconds).
ALTERNATE SOLUTION:
You can also fix this issue yourself if you choose to uninstall
Quicktime 7.xx from your computer and reinstall Quicktime
6 which is included on your CDROM. To install QuickTime™
follow these steps:
1. Exit the 360 Degrees program.
Double-click on "My Computer"
3. Right-click on the CD-ROM icon titled "360 Degrees"
and select "Explore"
4. Locate and open the folder called InstallQuicktime

6. Follow the steps from there...there is no registration
or serial number required...you can bypass that step without
entering info.
7. When finished, restart the 360 program (easiest is to
reinsert the CDROM into the drive and wait a few seconds).
